Lead Creative (Print & Packaging Design)
Superside is seeking a Lead Creative with a passion for print, packaging, and Generative AI to guide a globally distributed team across branded physical and digital touchpoints. In this role, you’ll nurture creative excellence while helping evolve our capabilities through the thoughtful integration of AI tools. You’ll lead by example, balancing hands-on craft with strategic guidance, to deliver impactful, human-centered work for a diverse range of global brands.

What You'll Do
- Lead and execute print, packaging, and merchandise design projects from concept to production, ensuring creative excellence, scalability, and technical precision.
- Design brand-consistent, production-ready assets such as brochures, flyers, ads, event collateral, packaging (boxes, labels, inserts), and other physical or digital materials.
- Apply and evolve brand systems to maintain consistency across multiple touchpoints, while introducing fresh creative approaches aligned with customer strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Creative Project Managers, Production teams, and Account Leads to ensure all deliverables meet quality, spec, and timeline requirements.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to define creative direction, clarify goals, and translate business needs into design solutions that drive impact.
- Provide thoughtful feedback and mentorship to elevate team performance, nurturing creative growth, emotional intelligence, and confidence within your team.
- Encourage data-informed, strategic design thinking to ensure creative output aligns with both customer objectives and Superside’s high-performance standards.
- Explore and implement AI-powered design tools and workflows that enhance ideation, experimentation, and production efficiency.
- Act as a cultural leader, fostering inclusivity, psychological safety, and collaboration while championing Superside’s values of kindness, speed, and ownership.
- Balance craft and leadership with composure and humility, maintaining focus under pressure and modeling curiosity, empathy, and shared success.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience as a Creative Lead or Senior Designer with deep expertise in print, packaging, and brand design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing creative excellence and technical proficiency across print and packaging, with examples of AI-assisted or automation-enhanced workflows.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, and presentation platforms.
- Proven ability to guide diverse, multidisciplinary teams through complex design projects from brief to delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English and confidence engaging with global customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring designers and delivering constructive, actionable feedback that builds confidence and craft.
- A proactive mindset, able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality and creative integrity.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring how AI can empower creative teams and elevate design processes.
