Engineering Manager

Superside is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a forward-thinking tech team and help us build the platform for modern creative work.

We’re a tech-enabled creative company that focuses on enabling Creative as a service to an entirely new scale. As part of our Project Hub team, you’ll get to make an impact on our product by crafting a work environment where your team can innovate and challenge the status quo while building a platform that changes our users' working experience.

Reporting to our Director of Engineering & Security Officer, you’ll have full autonomy and be responsible for building your team of Engineers and leading them through new and complex challenges.

Being a fully‌‌ ‌‌remote‌‌ ‌‌scale-up, we have a people-first approach as opposed to a structured, corporate approach. As we constantly redefine the scope of the team based on our needs, this role calls for the ability to be flexible and agile in order to keep up with the fast-paced environment.
Our Engineering Managers need to adapt to various situations and contexts to grow their teams without losing our culture of openness and knowledge sharing. We’re looking for leaders who are active problem solvers, independent and who will step in and take initiative, supporting their teams to achieve Superside’s vision.

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, of which at least 1 year as an Engineering Manager
  • Passion for guiding career growth through tailored individual and team development plans
  • Interest in building teams from the ground up with a people-first approach
  • Desire for working with small, diverse and highly collaborative teams
  • Experience building teams from the ground up is a bonus (a big plus if in a product-focused, people-First tech company)
  • Knowledge of agile practices
  • Ability to challenge the decisions of senior leadership
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

We’re building Superspace, our DesignOps system

It allows our users to focus on the design production instead of wasting time and energy on all the operational activities that come with it. We enable seamless remote creative collaboration and project management across the world thanks to features like briefing, project management, staffing, design feedback and asset delivery. This result in faster delivery without compromising the quality of the design work.

You will be leading our Engineering teams and building on top of our positive engineering culture. Using a people-focused approach to implement the best engineering practices and guide our engineers through their careers and projects. This will require taking ownership of your team and working alongside each of them to create an environment of knowledge sharing, open communication, continuous development and strong collaboration.

Hiring process

This is our general hiring process, it might be adjusted for certain roles when necessary.

45-min introduction call. No need for any formal prep beforehand, we’re here to get to know each other enough to see if we’re a potential good match.

An initial interview with the Management team. It lasts around 1 hour and our goal is to dive deeper into your skills, experience, and motivation while explaining who we are as a company and how we work. Should you be successful, you will be given a case assignment to complete.

This will consist of a 1-hour discussion regarding your case assignment. This is your chance to walk us through your work and the logic behind it. We will share the link to the case with you and provide you with a week to prep for the interview. During the discussion, you will be given the opportunity to present your thoughts on the case and the team will be able to ask questions. We want to make sure we’re the right place for you as much as you’re the right fit for us, so fire away!

The ability tests have been selected to measure the skills and competencies needed to succeed in the role.


The last meeting with the Management team will last around 1 hour and it’s another chance to talk about our mutual expectations, address any concerns, and dive deeper into how you could be successful leading a team in Superside. At this stage, it is clear we want you! We’ll make sure you want to join us too.
