Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are growing our Finance team and are looking for a driven Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to build out Superside’s forward-looking capabilities.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team that supports the long-term strategic planning of Superside and helps our business areas with financial analysis & planning. As a key member of the Finance team’s leadership, you will bring a vision to support Superside’s ambition to grow fast while maintaining good financial health.

Your success in this position will rely on your ability to effectively collaborate with other business areas and position Finance as the function that provides value-added analysis to support critical decision-making across the board.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and continuously improve the budgeting & forecasting process
  • Create a suite of reporting for all levels of management
  • Support the CFO with reporting and analysis for the Board and Investors
  • Run scenario models to facilitate company planning, set targets for all areas of the company and measure performance
  • Evaluate complex deals, investments, pricing, and any other initiatives
  • Identify and implement software tools to automate FP&A activities and generate great forecasting and reporting
  • Build and manage a highly effective FP&A team based on the department's needs
  • Empower budget holders to become true managers of their area’s finances
  • Work with Financial Control to help maintain high-quality financial information
  • Collaborate with the Data Team to enrich financial reporting & analysis with KPI data

This director role has high visibility and exposure within the company. That calls for someone who can gain senior leadership's trust and respect to support Supersides' major business decisions.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • CPA, ACA, CIMA or international equivalent finance qualification
  • Significant experience managing an FP&A or Commercial Finance team
  • Top-notch analytical skills, with great attention to detail
  • Great communication skills with the ability to explain in a way that inspires confidence and trust
  • Strong managerial skills: recruiting, motivating, and nurturing team members
  • High commercial acumen and IT & spreadsheet savvy
  • High moral and ethical standards
  • Inherent motivation and positive attitude
